A quick reminder for the teams coming to the Central Hardin Academic Challenge located in Cecilia, Kentucky (40 miles south of Louisville) on September 24. This is a PACE-NSC national qualifying tournament. As stated earlier there will be a guaranteed 5 matches for all teams attending. I would appreciate registrations by September 1 or an email confirming your attendance. Information will be updated at http://www.freewebs.com/chhsbruinsacademicteam on a regular basis.
For the teams traveling and needing lodging---
A block of rooms is reserved for academic challenge at the LaQuinta Inn at 210 Commerce Drive. The rate is $69 per night. There are 15 doubles and 5 kings reserved. All are non-smoking. If you are interested you need to call LaQuinta directly (270-765-4747) and reserve the rooms no later than September 5. Rooms not reserved by September 5 will be released. This is a new accomodation with a heated swimming pool, complimentary breakfast, etc. and within walking distance of several restaurants at the I-65 interchange (exit 94). Central Hardin High School is approximately 3.5 to 4 miles from the hotels. There are other hotels in the areas and information can be found at http://www.touretown.com but I would add this is a very favorable rate in this area and the occupancy rate is very high at this time of year.
Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 270-765-6517 if you have any questions.
