LIIMIT at Lexington (MA) HS (12/17/16)

Lexington High School in Lexington, MA, is pleased to announce Lexington's Second Minuteman Invitational Tournament (LIIMIT), to be held on December 17, 2016.
We are not housewriting the question set this year, and will instead be mirroring WHAQ, a regular-difficulty question set. WHAQ should be much easier than last year's LIMIT set.
The field is capped at 30 teams. Team rosters will be capped at six players.
If we meet our field cap, all teams will play five preliminary rounds before lunch. After lunch, teams will be rebracketed into championship and consolation pools, in which they will play more rounds against teams of similar skill levels for their final placement.
Fee structure:
$80 base fee for each team
-$10 experienced staffer discount (Max 1 per school)
-$5 buzzer discount (Max 2 per school)
-$10 new team discount (Applies to teams who have not played any pyramidal quizbowl tournaments since December 21, 2013.)
-$15/100 mi. distance discount
Teams interested in registering can either reply to this post or email me at [email protected]. Please include the number of teams you are bringing, how many fully functional lockout buzzer systems you can bring, as well as how many experienced staffers you can provide. If you do plan on bringing staffers, please inform me whether said staffers would like to read and/or scorekeep, and whether they will be able to provide a laptop. In addition, please provide a team contact, as well as his/her cell phone number and email.
On the day of the tournament, registration will be from 8:15-8:45, and rounds will hopefully begin at 9:00 after the opening meeting. If you plan to pay by check, please make the check made out to "Town of Lexington" and indicate "Lexington Quiz Bowl Team" in the memo section.
We hope to see you there!
