Just popping in here because we ran Snow CAT last week and I got my first look at the scene this season:
Wayzata and Eden Prairie remain the strongest schools. Wayzata A, in particular, is a very good team this year, and could definitely match their t-13th performance at HSNCT. They were above 24 ppb on IS-162, which is very good.
In terms of players, Sidney Carlson White from Mounds Park is the best player in the state. I think that MPA could make a good run in the Charter & Private division at SSNCT.
Other than that, the main problem with the Minnesota scene is its insularity: the teams all come, with some exceptions, from the suburbs. I did not devote the time I should have to getting more local teams to come to our tournament, which I plan to do next year. Most high schools in Southern Minnesota have Knowledge Bowl teams, and I think that it would do good to the scene to bring in some fresh programs.
