Re: LIFT XVII, Kellenberg, Uniondale, NY 11/18/17 (IS-170)
Great day of quizbowling! All 36 teams from 22 schools showed up. After 5 prelim rounds, the top 2 from each of the 6 prelim brackets were placed in 2 championship brackets. Then an 11th round single crossover to determine rank was played between the top 4 in each playoff bracket. The results:
For 1st and 2nd: Millburn A (375) d. Hunter A (310)
3rd and 4th: Commack (335) d. Bard (240)
5th and 6th: West Egg A (465) d. East Brunswick A (185)
7th and 8th: High Tech A (460) d. Bergen (225)
Top individual scorer during the prelims was Alex from Wilton with 111 ppg, followed closely by Max from Bard with 105 ppg.
Millburn, Hunter, Commack, Bard, West Egg, and East Brunswick earn quals to the NAQT National Championship, while those plus High Tech, Bergen and St. Joe's earn quals to the PACE NSC.
Stats. Thx for attending!

Re: LIFT XVII, Kellenberg, Uniondale, NY 11/18/17 (IS-170)
Does anyone know why the NAQT stats seem to mix up the 3rd/4th place crossover (Bard v Commack) with the 5th/6th crossover (West Egg vs East Brunswick)?

We have not finalized our ranking of this tournament's playoff teams, so it's very possible that the exact order might be adjusted in the near future.
