Memphis TN White Station Tournament 3/3/18
Posted: Tue Dec 26, 2017 11:41 pm
White Station High School in Memphis, TN, will be hosting an NAQT middle and high school tournament on March 3, 2018, at our school (514 S Perkins Rd, Memphis, TN, 38117).
Packets: The middle school division will use NAQT MS-23 and the high school division will use NAQT IS-175A.
Rules and Layout: We are still polishing the exact variation of NAQT rules that will be used at our tournament, but they will not be too far from standard. More details forthcoming. Depending on registration numbers, we hope to offer each team 5 or 6 morning rounds on a round robin. Top teams in each division will proceed to afternoon playoffs.
Tournament Fee: $65 per high school team with a $5 discount for bringing a working buzzer system and a $5 discount for every 50 miles driven (one-way). $55 per middle school team with a $5 discount for bringing a working buzzer system and a $5 discount for every 50 miles driven (one-way). Minimum entry fee for both divisions is $50, so no matter how many buzzers a team brings or miles a team drives, that team must pay a minimum of $50 to participate in the tournament.
Notes: For our tournament’s purposes, middle school teams are defined as those composed of students in grades 6-8, and high school teams are defined as those composed of students in grades 9-12. Schools serving both middle and high school students are welcome to register teams for both divisions, so long as the students on the middle school team(s) are enrolled only in grades 6-8 and the students on the high school team(s) are enrolled only in grades 9-12.
Any questions, interest, or registration can be directed to me at [email protected].
