Key Words

Post by jeffburns1 »

Yesterday, I had the thought that there are some words that come up in questions occasionally that might be unfamiliar to some players, but which might aid them in answering a question. Specifically yesterday, we heard the words TITULAR and EPONYMOUS.

Granted, experienced quiz bowlers should recognize those words, but maybe not younger players. Can you guys add any more examples of words make a quiz bowl lexicon for coaches to use?

"Posthumous" and "ubiquitous" come up often, and I was shocked at how many of my players had no clue what they meant...
