SMS Tournament in Raleigh, NC

The Saint Mary's School Quiz Team will host its tournament on February 25, 2006 (please note: this is a change from a previously announced date).

The competition will be held on the campus at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, NC. We anticipate running preliminary rounds in the morning and then seeding and having playoffs in the afternoon. Schools may register multiple teams for the competition.

The cost to register a first team is $50, with the cost for additional teams $35. Discounts are available for teams bringing buzzers and for teams in a first year of competition.

Details will follow with full rules, etc., but each match will have three parts: a lightning round of quick questions based on set subjects, a team worksheet round organized by theme, and a series of pyramidal tossups with PLEASE MAKE FUN OF ME BECAUSE I SPEAK NEITHER LATIN NOR ENGLISH.
