Dennis Haskins Open: survey re date

If you’re wondering why we haven’t set the date for this year’s Dennis Haskins Open High School Quizbowl, it’s because we aren’t sure ourselves. For the past few years UTC has held it on the first weekend in March, but this year that may not work because of UTC’s spring break, among other issues. We may still hold the tournament on March 7, but we are also considering March 21, or even Feb. 28 or April 18. If you are interested in attending, please let me know (at utcquizbowl [at] gmail [dot] com) which of these dates seem best/worst for your purposes, and of any conflicts in the general vicinity of Chattanooga. Thanks.

The Georgia state championship is March 7 and Vandy's tournament is March 21, so we're now looking seriously at March 14. If anyone knows of a major tournament in TN/GA/AL on that weekend, please let us know ASAP. Thanks.

I believe the 14th is the date of all the ASCA Regionals in Alabama.
