TRASH South Regionals at UGA 11-6-4: Info and Such

The UGA CBAT present the following information concerning the TRASH
South Regionals for Nov 6, 2004:

The University of Georgia College Bowl Academic Team would like to
announce that it will be hosting TRASH Sout regionals nov 6, 2004, in
the Student Learning Center on the UGA Campus.

The following will answer any questions you may have (we hope):

Questions: We'll be using the questions from the fine folks at TRASH.

Who can play: Whoever wants to. No school affiliation is needed.

Format: Not sure yet...check back later.

Costs: Here's the breakdown:

Base: 120
Buzzer: -5 (max 2 for a -10 discount)
Dedicated reader: -5
Travel:
0-100 miles (as determined by the TD): 0
101-200: -10
201+: -15
Extra teams: +25 each
Minimum fee for one team that comes over 200 miles with buzzer and
reader: $90

Hotel: We have eight rooms reserved at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS (not
the main Holiday Inn that many used last year) for Friday (11-5) and
five for Saturday night (11-6) for $80 a night. There seems to be a
major event in town, and thus the rooms are at a premium. You are
always more than welcome to stay elsewhere in town. If you need help,
please let me know. This HI has a free breakfast, FWIW.
Call 706-546-8122 and tell them you're part of the UGA TRASH Regional
Quiz Bowl. The rooms will be let back out to the public on Oct 13,
2004, so act fast if you want them.

We'll also be instituting the Friday early check-in for those who
wish to use it.
