UC-San Diego is pleased to announce the Southwest mirror of the Minnesota Undergraduate Tournament on Saturday, April 4. Undergraduate college students and high school students are eligible to play; post-undergrad students are not. The tournament has traditionally been a high-quality set a couple of shades under ACF Regionals difficulty, and we look forward to hosting it.
Base fee for first team: $120
Fee for additional teams after first: $100
Travel discount: -$10/
50 miles traveled (one-way as determined by Google)
Buzzer discount: -$10/buzzer
Moderator discount: -$20/moderator
New team discount: -$50 if your school did not play a college QB event during the 2013-2014 school year (not applicable to HS teams)

Because of a school-wide event (
with America's snazziest known event website to date), we are no longer able to host this on campus on 4/4. I've discussed the issue with some of the clubs that had originally expressed interest, and it looks like there isn't any immediate pushback against moving it to 4/5--the Sunday of the same weekend.
I'll update everyone through this post and the usual other channels as soon as this, or some other alternative, is confirmed.

UCSD A defeated Arcadia A 320-210 in a one-game final to win this event. Full statistics will be posted shortly.

The top bracket came down to a final between Arcadia A and UCSD A for 1st place, which UCSD A won (320-210). Caltech A and La Jolla A played off for 3rd place (315-215).
1) UCSD A (11-0)
2) Arcadia A (10-1)
3) La Jolla A (9-2)
4) Caltech A (7-4)

Thanks to all the teams that came out today for an excellent and competitive field, and a HUGE thanks to all the people who came to staff today (especially Shane Allen, Lucia Yang, William Zheng, Gary Luo, and Sam Lee).
