If you haven't registered for Southeast SCT, please go to https://www.naqt.com/registration/field ... nt_id=7120. The starting fee is $125 for the first team from a school, with the NAQT standard deductions. So far, we have 7 DI teams and 5 D2 teams.
Exact formats (and therefore number of rounds beyond the guaranteed 9) will depend on the number of teams in each division, but registration will begin at 8 AM and rounds will begin at 9. The tournament will be held at the Instructional Center on the Georgia Tech campus (759 Ferst Drive, Atlanta). Visitor parking is available in Visitor Parking Area 3, which is accessible by going around the Student Center Parking Deck also on Ferst Drive.
According to the Tech team, there are no hotels close to campus at a reasonable price. Our recommendation is to stay in Sandy Springs, Smyrna, or Marietta, as close to I-285 as you can get for a good price. The Perimeter Center Hilton and Courtyard currently have very good deals on hotels.com for that weekend.
If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected].

Because the D1 field is now at 9 teams, I assume this has changed, based on NAQT's suggested formats. Would that be correct?Kechara wrote:Because of the field size we reached, the format for each division will be a full round robin with up to a 2-game advantaged final.

Yes. Further details to follow, once we make sure there aren't any more drops.Yawar Fiesta wrote:Because the D1 field is now at 9 teams, I assume this has changed, based on NAQT's suggested formats. Yes, the new DI format starts with a full RR and then rebrackets into top 4/middle 3/bottom 2 (after consultation with NAQT personnel). The top and middle bracket will play a 3-round RR, while the bottom 2 teams will play each other 3 times. This will allow the brackets to all conclude at the same time rather than the top bracket going on to finals (or sitting around waiting if one team is far enough ahead to make finals moot) while other DI teams are still playing.Yawar Fiesta wrote: Because the D1 field is now at 9 teams, I assume this has changed, based on NAQT's suggested formats.
