There are byes for the prelims. The prelims will be played over 10 rounds. In odd-numbered rounds of the prelims, a packet from Bracket A will be read, and two teams from Bracket A will have a bye. In even-numbered rounds of the prelims, a packet from Bracket B will be played, and two teams from Bracket B will have a bye.cornfused wrote:How will packets work with no byes?ThisIsMyUsername wrote:Two prelim brackets of ten. Of the remaining submitted packets that we edited, half of them will be played by the top playoff bracket and the other half of them will be played by the bottom playoff bracket. There are no byes in the playoffs.
Each team therefore plays a guaranteed 14 packets over 15 rounds over the course of the whole tournament, plus the possibility of finals.
