NASAT 2016 Mirror @ U of T (Sunday, July 17th, 2016)

Post by Calculus? »

Hello Canada!

The University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club is pleased to announce yet another summer tournament: a mirror of the 2016 NASAT set.

Logistics

The tournament will be taking place on Sunday, July 17th, 2016, in Sidney Smith Hall (100 St. George Street), where we hold most of our tournaments. This will be the day after our HSNCT mirror. The tournament will begin at 10:00 AM, because it's summer and I don't like to get up early, and also sometimes they yell at me if I try to book rooms too early in the morning, so please be in the control room at 9:30.

Control room will be SS2101.

This tournament is completely open! I don't care who you are, where you're going, or where you've been, you will be welcome at this mirror.

Fees & Registration

PLEASE NOTE THE FEE STRUCTURE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A PER PERSON FEE.

U OF T STUDENTS: $10
EVERYONE ELSE: $20

THERE ARE NO DISCOUNTS.

I will accept cash, PayPal, e-transfer or a cheque made out to "University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club".

To register a team, please send me an email at meghan [DOT] torchia [AT] mail [DOT] utoronto [DOT] ca with your team name and the names of your players.

Please note that until further notice, and for reasons you're all very familiar with by now, the field will be capped at 7 teams. If there's a lot more interest, and if you ask very nicely, I will consider un-capping it.

Field

McGill
Cam/Andrej/Akhil/Ted
Leslie/Brian/Adam/Raymond
ADR/Joe/Anubhav

Hope to see you all for a fun weekend in July!

A team formation spreadsheet can be found here. Please make sure you enter your name on the tab that says Toronto.

Thanks everyone for coming! Hope you all had a good time.

Stats are here: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/db/tournament ... standings/

Note that team "Monty Python's the Stack of Brian" chose to forfeit the advantage final so that we could all go play trash, so there are no stats for a final.
