Wildcard requests for the 2017 NAQT Intercollegiate Championship Tournament must be submitted before midnight Central Time on Tuesday, February 7.

Please note that NAQT is only likely to accept distance-based wildcard requests from schools for which the nearest SCT site would require a full day of traveling in each direction (in addition to the day of playing the tournament).

Do you have an estimate of when invitations will be sent out?

Early next week. Note that we can't issue a final set of invitations until we know the results of the Northwest SCT (which was hit by a snowstorm and postponed until this coming Saturday the 11th).

naqt.com wrote:NAQT has posted preliminary calculations of D-values from its 2017 Sectional Championship Tournaments. Some known data issues remain, but they will be fixed as soon as possible (and we expect their overall impact to be small). Teams should review their data and report any errors (or questions) to NAQT by 5:00 CT on Thursday, February 9.

I assume some kind of mistake was made with Duke not receiving a D1 invitation? Considering our D-value was 13th best overall, an answer to this would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I'm now aware of what's happened with the bids, and realize that at least we're now in the field. An official response addressing NAQT's intended future improvements would still be nice for the other top25 "bubble" teams though (some of which will inevitably not be at ICT this spring, which is still a shame since playing other top teams is one of the most exciting things about playing a national tournament at all levels of the game).

Hi,
Is the Hyatt Regency fully booked already? I looked on their website, put in the dates, and it told me that nothing was available. Yet, NAQT's website still advertises the block rate.

So, are there any rooms left at the main hotel? If so, are they available at the lower rate?

We've asked our contact at the hotel for an update on the status of our room block.

Jesse,

Rooms are available in the NAQT block still (even though the hotel at large is, as you note, sold out). In order to book a room in the NAQT block, use the following link: https://aws.passkey.com/event/15886227/owner/2805/home . I just tried myself and there are rooms available.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks for your patience.

This didn't work for me. Is there any other way for us to book in the NAQT block, and if not, are there any ways for us to book cheaper than the regular rate left?

I've tried a bunch of varieties (like saying its only one person instead of 4, changing the check in and out dates) and it has yet to show any rooms available so potentially yes Joe. Gonna hope not!

I just got a room checking in on Friday and checking out Sunday. (I didn't complete the booking process, but I went far enough to be pretty sure that there are rooms available.) Maybe try again in a different browser? You can also try calling the hotel. If it still doesn't work, please e-mail us at [email protected], but this doesn't seem to be an issue in general.

My reservation for Friday night just went through- I had to switch from Chrome to Firefox to be able to proceed from guest info to payment info and finish, if that helps any.

Hey guys, I took video of the finals. Once I can, I will post a link to the video in the discussion sub-forum.

The video is currently unlisted, as I uploaded it yesterday when TI was still happening. If this is no longer necessary (i.e. if there are no more mirrors) I would happy to have it be public so you can just look it up.

There are definitely more mirrors. I know at least that Northmont, OH is mirroring it on May 20.

This has been cancelled due to lack of interest - if we decide to try to host next year, we'll be sure to announce it more than three weeks ahead of time.

Both Northmont and East Brunswick have future uses of the Division II set (which is why I spoke to you on Saturday about making sure the final wasn't livestreamed). I'll post here once the set is clear for discussion.
