Post by Llanowan »

These are up on Yahoo's group, I thought I'd post them here for centralization purposes... I assume its okay to copy and paste from over there as Hentzel's reply got posted over here. If not, I apologize, I'm new and couldn't find any rules regarding this.

***The top 10 scorers were declared All-Stars.

Anyway... I would like to thank all of the teams who came to Tulsa to
compete at NAQT SCT. I hope that you all enjoyed your time. I would
also like to give Paul Nelson much gratitude for reading questions in
Division I; you certainly made my life easier.

By the way, because we were using a public computer and did not save
the stats from the tournament, I will have to re-calculate the stats
for Division II. Expect those stats sometime tonight or tomorrow. But
for inquiring minds, Oklahoma A won the Division II portion of the
tournament with a record of 11-2; Oklahoma State A and Rolla were
tied for second at 10-3.

Thanks.
Cheers!

And D II:

Greetings, again, everyone! We had eleven teams from eight schools
compete in the Division II portion of the NAQT South SCT tournament
at the University of Tulsa. Two teams (KSU and SWOSU) were competing
at Sectionals for the first time ever, while this was actually
SWOSU's first-ever tournament.

We played a single round robin, followed by bracketed playoffs. Here
are the preliminary standings:

Oklahoma State A 9-1
Oklahoma A 8-2
Rolla 8-2
Arkansas* 6-4
Oklahoma State B* 6-4
Kansas State 5-5
Oklahoma B 5-5
SWOSU 4-6
Harding 2-8
NWOSU 2-8
Oklahoma State C 0-10

*Arkansas and OSU B played a 9-minute half-match to determine who
would make it to the top playoff bracket. Arkansas won 80-50.

***All other tie-breakers were settled on the basis on PPG, since
none of the other tie-breakers affected which playoff bracket each
team made it into.

Final Team Standings:

Team Record PPG PPTH 15/10/-5 Bonus PPB

Oklahoma A 11-2 258.46 13.66 36/93/34 2060 15.97

Rolla 10-3 220.77 12.11 10/102/7 1735 15.49
Arkansas 6-7 158.08 8.71 16/76/27 1190 12.93
Oklahoma B 8-5 209.23 11.43 20/85/4 1590 15.14
OSU B 7-6 153.08 8.29 11/79/16 1115 12.39
Kansas State 6-7 201.92 10.46 20/87/14 1525 14.25
SWOSU 5-8 138.46 7.35 12/80/35 995 10.82
Harding 4-8 120.83 6.33 12/59/22 790 11.13
NWOSU 3-9 106.25 5.69 13/51/19 665 10.39
OSU C 0-12 65.00 3.44 6/36/14 400 9.52

***We had three playoff brackets of Top 4, Middle 4, and Bottom 3;
thus, the last three teams played in one less game. And the standings
reflect finish with respect to playoff bracket.

I am still working on the individual stats for Division II. I hope to
have those posted in the next day or so. I would have them done
sooner, but I have three tests on three consecutive days, so I only
have a limited time to work on the stats.

Anyway... thanks again to all the teams who ventured to Tulsa to make
this a very successful (and hopefully enjoyable) tournament. Good
luck to all the teams who are hoping for a wild card bid!

Until my next post...

Thanks.
Cheers!
