Tulsa should be there with one DI Grad team, no buzzers, and possibly one moderator.

Re: Announcement: NAQT Cental SCT at WUSTL (2/7/09)
Okay, we've had several additions in the past couple days, so here's another field update:
Div 1:
Illinoisx2
Illinois (UG)
UChicago
Truman St. (UG)
Missouri S&T (UG)
Tulsa
Div 2:
Illinoisx2
UChicago
Oklahoma Statex2
Eureka College
Missouri Statex1-2
Truman St
Missourix2
Depauwx2

Also, I received our room assignment earlier today and we will hosting this in the spiffy new Seigle Hall (Opened this past August), which, based on my brief look-through, should be excellent.
If you haven't registered yet and would like to, please send me and email at [email protected]

Eureka College is a new school. We will have 1 Div II team and a buzzer system for the $5 discount.

Thanks to our staff and the teams who played. Illinois defeated Chicago to win Division I, while Chicago beat Missouri in the Division II final.

How come Chicago doesn't show up on the team detail page in DI? Also, 770 points in a round by Illinois is quite impressive.

Neither does Missouri State, for some reason. Also, the final score of the second Missouri S&T - Tulsa B game was actually 250-110.vandyhawk wrote:How come Chicago doesn't show up on the team detail page in DI?
Great tournament, thanks to WUSTL for hosting.

Good time for a first post
Thanks to all the WashU staff for a fun tournament. I know Jeet and Anna had a good time as well. It was definitely interesting to see a good sampling of competition we'll have to face for the rest of our collegiate careers. One thing's for sure, it gives a lot of motivation to improve!

Re: Announcement: NAQT Cental SCT at WUSTL (2/7/09)
I'd like to thank WUSTL and Neel for providing an excellent tournament. After looking at the stats, it looks like I heard an average (!) of 23 tossups a game, which is a very clear indicator of how sharp and competent the entire moderating staff was. I really had a great time on Saturday.

Re: Announcement: NAQT Cental SCT at WUSTL (2/7/09)
This was almost perfectly run. I was in the same boat, we got through over 23 tossups per game, which is awesome. Neel also became my favorite person of the week for scheduling lunch exactly halfway through the tournament, which made it a more manageable chunk of games after lunch, and getting all of the non-final rounds done with by 6, I believe. This was certainly the most efficient tournament I've been to all year, and I know that timed rounds makes it way easier to go on time but after reading about some other disaster SCTs, I'm really happy with how this one went. I think my teammates were also enjoying themselves, and I'm really looking forward to ACF Nationals now, and any other future WUSTL run events.
