Cold-calling

Post by tiwonge »

I'm trying to recruit some new teams in the area. Who is the best person to contact?

If their web page lists a science bowl type of person, I contact them. But otherwise? Principal? Vice principal? National Honor Society type of person?

I'm also trying to see if I can get some middle school teams in the area to start a circuit. Would the same idea apply for middle schools, too?

Talk with the school secretary first and ask them if they have specific advice, but in general it will probably end up as a principal/VP type, or an (non-athletics) activities director if they have that position.
