4th Annual Wildcat Challenge - 11/12/16 - Brownsville,KY

I am happy to announce that the Edmonson County High School Academic Team in Brownsville, KY will be hosting the 4th Annual Wildcat Challenge on November 12, 2016. We have had very exciting and competitive tournaments the last three years, and I expect nothing less this year. We are going to use modified NAQT guidelines (see format description in the announcement). The main difference will be the addition of bounce back bonuses, written protests/inquiries, and a worksheet round.

I have attached our tournament announcements. It contains all the information about our tournament. The tournament is a qualifier for the 2017 MIDDLE SCHOOL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT in DALLAS, TX May 13, 2017. The TOP 15% of our field will be invited to the MSNCT. Last year we were also a qualifier for the Questions Unlimited National Academic Championship. We will have pool play in the morning; the results will be used for seeding in the playoff rounds. The exact format will depend on the number of teams that register, but all teams will be guaranteed five games. We will be using an NAQT Middle School series (MS-19) set of questions. All participating teams will get a complete copy of the set of questions used for the tournament. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM CST with matches beginning at 8:30 AM CST.
