We would like to officially invite you to register your team(s) for the Hoover Middle School Melee 2019! This tournament will be held on JANUARY 19th, 2019. MSM will be played on NMMS 2, a set provided by David Jones and the Northmont, Ohio Quiz Bowl team. David is an experienced writer/editor, and his set last year was very well-received. We expect this set to be just as good or better.

The cost per team for this event will be $60, with a $5 discount for bringing a working buzzer set (two discounts maximum per school). Lunch will be available on site.

Several of you have asked if we will have a 6th grade division this year. We will have a 30 team cap for this event, but we are willing to consider a 6th grade division if there is sufficient interest. For that reason, we have asked on the registration form if (a) you would like to field a 6th grade team, and (b) if you would field one fewer team in what would be the "older" group if you did enter a 6th grade team. We will use those responses to determine if a sixth grade pool is viable, and if so, how large we can make it. If we do create such a pool, entry slots will be available on a first come, first served basis.
