The Early College at Guilford Quiz Bowl Team is very excited to announce its middle school tournament, Shaker Bowl, on Saturday, April 13, 2019! Our team has created a short house write specifically for this tournament designed to be a middle school pre-nationals tournament.

Registration: To register, please send an e-mail to the address listed at the end of this announcement. We will email you back with a confirmation of your school's registration.

Schedule: Check-in will be from 8:20 to 8:50 and the tournament is estimated to end around noon. More specific times will be announced as more teams sign up.

Rules: We will be following NAQT rules that can be found at https://www.naqt.com/rules/.

Buzzers: We ask that teams with working buzzers please bring them.

Teams: Each team can have a total of 6 players with 4 playing at one time. Each player may appear on only one team's roster throughout the day—no switching between the A and B teams, for example. Teams may also play shorthanded with fewer players.

Location: The tournament will be held on Guilford College’s campus in the Early College's modular buildings. The address is 5608 W. Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410.

Fees: As in past years, we will not charge teams for this tournament, but will ask that each player contribute one can of non-perishable food going towards the local food bank.
