There are many NHBB events taking place in Illinois this year, and we would love to see you attend! A school can compete once on each question set, and competitors finishing in the top half of the field at each event qualify for NHBB Nationals in DC in late April.

C Set
Northern Illinois - Stevenson HS, Lincolnshire, IL - Saturday, 11/3
Northwestern Illinois - Winnebago HS, Winnebago, IL - Saturday, 12/1
Southwestern Illinois - Southwestern HS(Piasa), Piasa, IL - Monday, 1/21(MLK Day)

B Set
Central Illinois - Mattoon HS, Mattoon, IL - Saturday, 3/16
Greater Rockford - Belvidere HS, Belvidere, IL - Saturday, 3/30

A Set
Illinois State Championships - Loyola Academy, Wilmette, IL - Saturday, 2/2

If those dates don't work in your schedule, we also have events in eastern Missouri, eastern Iowa, northwestern Indiana, and southern Wisconsin, just to name a few. Full details on all of our events, as well as the online registration form, can be found at http://www.historybowl.com. Registration is due 8 days in advance by completing the form here: https://www.historybowl.com/register/registration/ An additional $10 per team applies for registrations done by 7pm Eastern time the Monday before the tournament after which registration closes.

As with all NHBB Varsity / JV events, prices are $85 per team in the Bowl, $70 for a two person team, and $35 for solo teams.
It's $15 per student in the Bee, $10 for the US History Bee exam at lunch, $10 for the US Geography Olympiad / International Geography Bee exam at lunch, -$10 per buzzer system brought. Readers are required; otherwise a $60 penalty fee applies; teams of one are exempt from this.

For further details please see the NHBB website here: historybowl.com or contact the Tournament Coordinator Marshall Mullins at [email protected].
