The Iowa Quiz Bowl League enters its third season as the leading organization in Iowa for coordinating events and promoting opportunities for students to play. We will produce many events in 2017-18, including two televised events through our partners at Morningside College and KCAU-TV (Sioux City), and Grand View University with Mediacom (Des Moines).

Waukee and Boyer Valley return as the defending champions for high schools; Ankeny Southview is the reigning middle school champion.

January 6 - Eastern Iowa - Davenport Central High (C Set)
March 3 - Iowa State Championships - Waukee High (A Set)

The Iowa Quiz Bowl League set a record yesterday by hosting a 32-team tournament at Ankeny Southview School. All 32 teams participated in three divisions on NAQT questions.

It's a good thing when there are enough teams that sign up, that it forces tournament hosts to scramble for buzzer systems and moderators. Pyramidal quiz bowl is alive and well in Iowa, and is growing.
