I believe Lancaster, PA can now be removed from this list. We've had an active quiz bowl league since the '90's, but we voted last night to switch to NAQT questions.

Awesome. Any idea if the Pennsylvania state tournament will be moving to NAQT questions as well?

If you mean the competition in Harrisburg that the Chester County IU hosts and bills itself as a state championship, I wish!!! I'd even take Questions Unlimited over those questions. With only 2 preliminary rounds (where three teams compete at once), bad questions, and organizers that refuse to follow their own written rules, that tournament is a joke. Even those who win it criticize it.

Manheim Township put in a bid for the PA (or Eastern PA) NAQT State Championship. If we're the host, we're hoping to convince some of the schools that win their IU's to go to the "state championship" to come to a real tournament too. That tournament could be a good way to recruit teams to better question formats.

Sacramento now has a fairly active/growing circuit (same with San Francisco/Oakland/South Bay). Hopefully we can promote Fresno and Reno to "active" by the end of April. Bakersfield, Stockton, Modesto, Santa Rosa, and Santa Cruz will hopefully be promoted to "active" next year.
