quizbowl coaching position opening for 2015-2016

Marist School will have an opening in its quizbowl staff for the 2015-2016 year. If you know of someone who would like to coach a well-supported and successful quizbowl program who is also a qualified candidate in one of the following areas, I would encourage you to have her/him reach out to me through the forum or through email, [email protected].

Biology Teacher
Experienced science teacher for Fall 2015 to teach Biology and AP Biology. Graduate degree and ability to teach multiple learning styles preferred. Ability to coach desired.

English
9th grade English position available for the 2015-2016 school year. Preference for experienced, faith-driven educators with advanced degree. Ability to coach desired.

Mathematics
Mathematics position for the 2015-2016 school year includes a concentration in Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus or Calculus. Preference for experienced, faith-driven educators with advanced degree. Ability to coach desired.

Personal / Academic Counselor
The Counseling Department supports student success through delivery of a comprehensive guidance program. The Personal/Academic Counselor must be able to work with individual students, families, small groups, and collaboratively with staff and parents, as well as with a team. A master’s degree is required and qualifications include: knowledge of counseling skills, experience providing individual and small group counseling, guidance lessons and parent education, demonstrated skills in oral and written communication, and demonstrated skills in organization and problem solving. Ability to coach desired.

Physics Teacher
Seeking experienced science teacher for Fall 2015 to teach Physics and Advanced Physics. Graduate degree and ability to teach multiple learning styles preferred. Ability to coach desired.
