NAQT Nationals Question

Post by youboo4 »

Already posted this in off topic but realized it would fit better here: Hi first time posting! My team recently attended a tournament in which 3 teams would qualify for nats and lost in the semifinals. Even though there was no 3rd place game or tiebreaker, the other semifinalist team was given the qual over us. Any idea how this happened or if it can be appealed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Please let us know which qualifying tournament this was, and we'll investigate the situation. Thank you for your interest in attending the 2017 HSNCT!

According to our records, this tournament did in fact have a game to break the tie for third place (but we have not yet received the individual stats for that game).

There was no tie-break game played. If you can contact the tournament organizers, they can inform you that there was not one.

We'll double-check the results with the tournament director.

We have confirmed with the tournament director that no third-place game was played. Thus, both teams involved in the tie earn invitations to HSNCT. Corrected results are here, and we hope Norman North B will be able to join us in Atlanta Memorial Day weekend.
