I know we're pretty late in the game, but does Alabama have any more spots open? I'm the president of Centre College's team in Danville, KY. We were planning on hitting up OSU, but it seems to be full. It would be one team, no buzzers. :(

Thanks,

Hey Ibrahim,

I don't want to steal any teams from the Alabama site, but if there is no room left at the Alabama site (I suspect they still have room), please consider the University of South Carolina site. We're only 20 miles further from Danville than Tuscaloosa and we have plenty of room for more teams. Information about our event is here. Of course, if Alabama still has room, forget everything I just typed.

We definitely have room at our tournament for Centre, so I'll put you down for a team (unless you choose to go to South Carolina instead.)

Field Update (look for an email this weekend teams):
Ole Miss
Auburn-Montgomery
Snead State
DAR HS x2
Western Kentucky
Chipola x2
Alabama (Some non-zero number of house teams)
Tulane (2 or 3)
Pensacola HS
Georgia Tech
Centre
UT-Chattanooga
Mississippi State

Is the way teams are listed here the correct order of finish?

Edit: Also, why were the morning brackets so unbalanced? The three best teams in the tournament were all in one bracket.

Funniest thing about the stats is that the Average Points For and Average Points Against for WKU is equal. I find that quite hilarious and I've never seen that before.

Yeah, my only problem with how this was run was that the three best teams were in one bracket. If either Georgia Tech or Chipola got moved over to Team Jacob, it would have been better. Aside from that, it was a well run tournament, and I had great fun on probably one of the best sets I've played on.

EDIT: Also for information's sake, Pensacola was playing without two of our three top scorers.

Overall, I enjoyed the tournament and it was probably one of the more fun quizbowl tournaments I've ever been to, honestly. Big thanks to Alabama for hosting it.

I could be mistaken, but I think those stats may be a bit off because our game against NE Alabama was input as a 10-0 win rather than marked as a forfeit.

The forfeit issue has been fixed, and it was only a very minor change to the overall stats. The order of finish was and is correct. Thanks for pointing out these errors, and let me know if there's anything else that's off.

That makes more sense. It made our stats a little better when they fixed it too.
