Apoorva: A Southern California NASAT Mirror (8/5)

I'm pleased to announce that Westview will be hosting Apoorva (name chosen upon the orders of Klaus Llwynog), a Southern California mirror of NASAT taking place on August 5th at Westview High School. More information about the set can be found here. Eddie Kim will be directing the tournament.

You can find the team registration form here. As a reminder with all NASAT mirrors, the field is completely open.

How to Register:

You can register by emailing [email protected] with the following information: 1) number of teams that you plan to register, 2) rosters for each team if finalized, 3) how many staffers/buzzers (if any) and 4) a team name.

Note: Simply putting your names down on the spreadsheet or responding to this thread will not count as an official registration for the tournament. In addition, we will be limiting team rosters to a max of 6 players.

Location/Logistics: The tournament will take place at Westview High School, located at 13500 Camino del Sur, San Diego, CA 92129. Vehicles may park in either lot and persons may enter the campus through the front gates. We will be using the L buildings for the tournament. A campus map can be found here.

Registration will begin at 8:30 in room L115. We plan to start rounds at 9:00 sharp. Assuming 9-12 teams, we are planning to do a round robin among the teams, with a break for lunch at around 12:00.

Fee Structure / Payment:
$95 per team

Note: Since I am not attempting to profit from this tournament (all registration fees are going to paying for rooms/packets), teams that provide buzzers/staffers will be compensated with pizza, specifically of the Costco variety, as well as our eternal gratefulness.

Side Events:
Some people have asked me whether there's plan for side events after the tournament. Since rooms are charged at an hourly rate, I'd prefer not to make this tournament more expensive for everyone by formally organizing side events. However, side events may be arranged in a shoot-out format outside the tournament rooms if there's interest/approval from side event writers. Let me know if there's a specific side event you'd like to hear.
