UCF's mirror of the WAO II set is happening on November 18, 2017, in the Business Administration 1 building. There's a good map at https://parking.ucf.edu/maps/
if you don't know where to go. It's the building near the middle of the circle marked "BA1." Don't worry about parking restrictions because it's a weekend. Just park wherever it looks closest. We want to start at the golden, universally ordained time of 9:00 a.m., so please aim to be there in time to set up buzzers and register. I reserved enough rooms for 12 teams, but if I end up needing more I'll need to know by the 15th.http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20129
is the original thread about WAO 2, so you can refer to that for details about distribution and difficulty and all that. My understanding is that open teams have to send in a packet to play, but I could be wrong.
Tournament DB post: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/db/tournaments/4730/$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Base: $140 for a school team and $100 for each subsequent school team; $120 for an open team
Travel: $10 for over 200 miles (hurray for FSU)
: $10 for each functioning system
Staffers: $10 for each competent reader or number-slave with a laptop if needed
Fictitious: $80 for the coupon ad we placed in the Central Florida Savings coupon book. $1 for every Matt Soree brought.
Minimum fee for school total is $50
(I notice that Florida A is marked as having submitted a packet for $70 early-bird credit. What a bunch of try-hards.)
