EFT CLOSED Skype Mirror (12/26)

Postby Periplus of the Erythraean Sea » Tue Nov 14, 2017 6:19 pm

Hi all,

There will be a Skype mirror of EFT on December 26th targeted at teams who couldn't make a physical site. This tournament will be closed with no exceptions - play with your school team, play by yourself (as an enrolled student), but no chimeras or anything of the sort. The exception will be if we need to collapse teams to avoid byes. High schoolers are welcome! Sign-ups may be found here.

The fee will be $60 per team. This covers two costs - the $40 per team mirror fee and $20 extra per team to pay staff. You must pay via PayPal or Venmo.

Anyone who wants to staff should put their name down on the sheet.

The start time will be 11AM EST / 8AM PST sharp.

Is Festivus not happening this year? If it is, that could eat into the moderator / player pool for this tournament.

This and a conflict with New Trier Varsity have been noted. We'll be moving to a later date over break or possibly early January.

Confirming this for 12/26 and looking for three-four mods. I'll be in flight much of the day and completely unable to staff.

Edit: also, you must pay via Venmo or PayPal

This happened. Crystal Springs + Michael Borecki won the Triple Round robin at 8-1 after we had to downsize the field to 4 teams due to small teams and a limiting moderator pool. Thanks to all those that played!
