I'm probably going to this site and am currently a free agent. Shoot me a message if you want to team up.

EDIT: Looks like I'm teaming up with Jakob Myers and Andrew Wang for this. We tentatively have a fourth as well but I'll wait for them to confirm that they can actually go before I let the cat out of the bag.

I'd like to go to this, if I can get the time off. Will you be mirroring side events?

I am looking for a team, but there's a big IF if I can make this (my mom's having surgery around this time, but the date isn't finalized yet).

First side event announced: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=20791

We'll also likely be running at least two more (Scattergories 2, Aidan's architecture tournament).

Michigan can only bring 6 people, so me and Kazuma Shimanaka are looking for two teammates to join "Michigan B", preferably who know literature/arts but whatever. PM or email me if you're interested.

Edit: We're playing with Conner Reynolds and Harris Bunker.

Pick Geoffrey!

Also, side event update: I believe the current plan is to run Scattergories Saturday night and architecture Sunday after ACRONYM.

It should probably be mentioned that signups for both Scattergories and ACRONYM can be found in this spreadsheet.

Also, I'd like to run Entirely Real Landscapes after Scattergories if a) there's no widespread objection to it and b) Minnesota can provide one or more rooms with a projector. I know that will be rather late but the tournament will probably have 5-6 visual packets so it shouldn't take too long.

Probably just gonna be a shootout, perhaps with promotion/relegation depending on the field.

The projector seems doable; time will probably be the bigger issue, given the campus staff's increasing tendency to push us out of rooms.

Like several people before me, I'm going to put out a broad call for teammates and express my excitement for Entirely Real Landscapes. For the main tournament, I'd prefer people who know science and lit, but I'd be happy to play with anyone.

I'm not sure if lunch is long enough for that, especially since eating is also a thing people want to do at lunch, but I'm certainly open to doing, say, 2 packets at lunch and 3 at the end of the day, or something like that, if that would be a better time schedule for the hosts.

There are currently 5-ish teams on the signup spreadsheet for Scattegories. If enough people don't materialize for 6 teams, I'll request that people consolidate into 4 teams, some of which will have a fifth player.

Me, Kazuma, and Harris are looking for a fourth since Conner can't make it. Lit knowledge preferred, but really any fourth player would be good.

Also, Jakob and I are staying at a hotel near the airport and need a ride Saturday morning. If anyone could pick either of us on the way to UMN Saturday morning, that would be super helpful. We are flying in Friday morning. Please PM me ASAP if you can help out. Much appreciated.

Looks like there is a perfect number of people for 4 teams of 5. The easiest thing would be for the two teams that currently have two people to combine, and then for each of the free agents to join one of the teams, but I'll let people decide how they want to arrange themselves.

They'd best sign up then! (I see that one more person has since signed up - so we'll have enough for six teams if a couple more people join, which seems plausible.)
