NAQT SCT at Stanford (2/3/18)

I am pleased to announce that the northern California site of the NAQT Sectional Championship Tournament will take place on February 3, 2018.

Location: This tournament will take place at Stanford University. Tournament games will take place in Old Union (Division I) and Huang (Division II). Check-in will be at 9:30 in Old Union 215.

Fees:

Base fees: $125 for the first team from a school; $100 for second or subsequent teams

Discounts:

$10 discount per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)

$30 discount per experienced moderator

$20 discount (per team) for schools new to quizbowl (neither competed in nor hosted SCT in 2016 or 2017)

$20 discount (per team) for teams that travel 60 or more miles one-way (distance measured from your campus to Stanford by Google Maps)

Payment will be taken at check-in on February 3rd.

Please note that the location of the 2018 northern California SCT will now be at Stanford.

Details for Saturday have been emailed to the registered teams. Check-in is at 9:30 in Old Union 215.

Congratulations to Berkeley A, who went undefeated to win Division I, and Berkeley D, who defeated Stanford B in a one-game final to win Division II.
