CYPRAS, the tournament director, and the RIT Quiz Bowl club, the tournament host, are pleased to announce that Rochester Institute of Technology [RIT] will be hosting the New York SCT on February 3, 2018.

Location: Details of which building we will use will be announced closer to the date of the tournament.

Fees:

Base fees: $125 for the first team from a school; $100 for second and subsequent teams

Discounts:

$10 discount per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)

$30 discount per experienced moderator; $5 discount for a scorekeeper

$20 discount for no SCT, ICT or CCCT for two years OR $35 discount for no SCT experience

$15 discount for early registration (by Jan. 15, 2018)

This tournament has a minimum fee of $40 per team.

Payment can be taken at check-in on February 3rd. Schools can choose to be billed after the tournament as well.

Congratulations to Penn St. A for winning the New York SCT D1 section with an 8-2 record. The University of Rochester comes in a close second at 7-3.

And congratulation to Cornell C which goes undefeated in D2 to capture the D2 section at 9-0. Cornell B finishes second with an 8-1 record.
