The University of Minnesota is excited to announce our mirror of SMT, to be held on March 31, 2018!

Location
The tournament will likely take place at Blegen Hall on the West Bank Campus. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM. We ask that everyone arrive by no later than 8:45 AM so that we can get the tournament started promptly at 9:00 AM. The tournament will go until the mid- to late-afternoon (likely between 4 and 5 PM). More details will be available as we confirm everything.

Eligibility
This set is limited to undergraduate students and potentially high school students. If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact us. Some graduate students may be allowed but will need prior permission.

Registration
In order to register for this tournament, please contact us via email at [email protected] with your team name, number of buzzers, number of staffers, and contact information.

Fees
Base fee: $110
Working buzzer set: -$5
Staffer: -$10
Traveling over 200 miles one-way: -$10
New to "Quizbowl": -$50

Team Size
Teams are limited to six players, and only four can play at any one time. If a school wishes to field more than six players, they must register an additional team.

Format
The field will be initially capped at 20 teams, but we may expand this if resources allow. Teams registering after the field has been set will be placed on a waiting list. We will guarantee at least 9 rounds of competition for every team.

Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions regarding the tournament.

Thank you, and we hope to see you in Minneapolis!
