Posted: Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:06 pm
The University of Chicago is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a mirror of Stevenson Memorial Tournament on Saturday, May 12th, 2018. I, Jason Zhou, will be the tournament director.
Details:
SMT is regular minus difficulty, and more information about the tournament can be found in the global announcement.
Eligibility:
The eligibility policy is similar to past years’ MUT and EMT. Only undergraduate and high school students can play this tournament. "Undergraduate" in this case does not follow the traditional ACF definition--fifth-year (or greater) undergraduates with no bachelor's-level degree are still eligible to play. Less-experienced grad students (i.e. grad students who have not played a tournament before this school year, with slight exceptions granted at our discretion) can request permission directly from to play the set, and if granted will be able to play at a mirror. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to play.
The tournament will be preliminarily capped at 12 teams.
Cost:
$120 per team
Discounts:
Buzzer systems with at least eight functional buzzers: -$5 each
Buzzer systems with fewer than eight buzzers: -$0 each
Competent staffers: -$10 each No maximum.
Laptop: -$5 each Maximum 1 per team.
Travel: -$10 per 200 miles traveled one way
