Rutgers Summer Practices (Open to all)

Post by The Billiards Fool » Thu May 31, 2018 10:27 pm

Rutgers will be hosting summer practices, starting next Monday June 4 at 7 PM at the Rutgers Academic Building (10 and 15 Seminary Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901). These practices are open to anyone. For those looking to come by train, the New Brunswick train station is a 5 minute walk to the Academic Building. There is parking on Seminary Place and nearby roads, all of which are tolled only until 8 PM (so it'll cost you $1.50). I will post the room number when I get there.

They will not necessarily be all Mondays, since it depends on my permanent work schedule which I will hopefully be receiving soon. I will post updates as they come. But, for this coming week, practice will be at 7 at the AB. Message me with any questions/concerns. I can give rides to people coming from nearby if you end up having no other way to get there.

EDIT: Practice will begin at 8 PM from now on

Practice tonight will begin at 7:30 at the Academic Building. We will go until 10-10:30, or whenever people want to wrap up. I will post the room number as an edit to this post later today once I get there.

We are discussing the possibility of hosting a NASAT mirror - if are interested in helping out, or playing, please post or PM us.

If this is not in July or the first week of August I will almost certainly play.

I'd be interested in playing this if I'm around and free.

If this is going to happen June or July, I'd love to commute from NYC and play NASAT. I guess I can also ask people at Columbia practice on Tuesday or Thursday if there is interest.

I would love to play and can help operate a carpool from Northern NJ (off of the NJ transit Bergen Line if you're coming from NYC).

I’ll definitely play this so long as it isn’t August 11.

Can someone associated with the Rutgers team make a poll with the weekends that Rutgers could hypothetically hold a NASAT mirror? Thanks.

Practice tonight will be at 8 PM in the Academic Building. Message me here or facebook if you have any questions/concerns (I don't get much cell reception in the building). The room will probably be 1170 or 1180, both straight forward when you walk in.

EDIT: We're in room 1180.

If people would like a more consistent summer practice location, I can offer my lab's meeting room in Nelson A237 on Busch. It's very close to both the ARC and library bus stops and has a parking lot immediately next to it. Practice would need to start before 9 since the doors lock then, but I or (preferably) someone else who arrives before then can let people in later. We have tables, internet, and a projector, and there shouldn't be anyone else around trying to use the room.

Practice will be Wednesday at 8 PM this week. I apologize for all the random switches, it'll only be these few weeks then it will be back to normal. I will post the location as we get closer.

Practice will again be at Nelson on Wednesday at 830

EDIT: We will not be having practice this week as schedules aren't aligning well. I will be away next week, so as of now practice is cancelled. If JJ or someone else posts practice will be on but for now assume it is off.

Likely no practice this week, and probably not next week unless there's demand and/or people are free.
