Historature @ Toronto (June 24th, 2018)

Post by Calculus? »

Hello Canada!

The University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club will be hosting a mirror of Historature on Sunday, June 24th, 2018. This is the day after McMaster's NASAT mirror. The tournament will take place in Sidney Smith Hall (100 Saint George Street) and the control room will be room 2114. The tournament will start at 9:00 AM sharp. Please be there around 8:30 as many people have a long journey home so we'd like to end at a reasonable time. That said this should be over by lunchtime. More info on the set can be found here.

Fees for the tournament will be $20 CAD per person.

Sign up for this (or sign up to staff it!) here.

If you have any questions, comments, etc. please post them below. See you all soon!

Here's your logistics post for tomorrow:

Please meet in the control room, SS 2114, at 8:30 tomorrow. The tournament will be played in doubles (it's looking like one person may need to solo due to an odd number) and we'll have 6 "teams". Just let me know who you're playing with the morning of. This means we'll do a double round robin and will play through all 10 rounds of the tournament.

Please note that tomorrow is the Toronto Pride Parade; as a result there will be numerous road closures throughout the city. Most of these won't take effect until the afternoon, but please make sure your route here is clear so you arrive on time. For anyone coming from Scarborough, the RT will be closed for construction tomorrow.

For further emphasis, PLEASE arrive on time tomorrow. There are people attending who need to leave at a reasonable time in order to make long journeys home. I do not care what you were doing on Saturday night or how tired you are. Show up on time or we'll start without you.

See you all tomorrow!

EDIT: Due to some last minute drops we now have 10 players so 5 teams. We will still play all 10 rounds but each team will have 2 byes.
