The Northern California mirror of EFT will take place at Stanford University on November 10, 2018. (We realize this isn't exactly "early fall" but it works out best for the tournament calendar.) If you'd like to register, please shoot an email to me ([email protected]) and Jonchee Kao ([email protected]).

For more information about EFT, check out the original tournament announcement: http://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20808
Please note the eligibility rules:
For college teams, all in-person US sites of this tournament will be completely closed. High schoolers may play, and can play on chimera teams with permission, but permission will only be granted if they are unable to play with their school team. Exceptions to these rules may possibly be granted with approval of the head editor. Sites in non-US countries may set different policies, but please alert the head-editor to any changes from what is stated here for US teams. We plan to run an early open play-testing mirror on Skype. All sites should use the advanced/online scorekeeping methods provided.
The fee structure will be as follows:
$120/team
Buzzer discount: $5/working buzzer set
Staffer discount: $10/staffer
Travel discount: $10/200 miles traveled (per Google Maps)

Current field (teams/buzzers/staff):
Berkeley x 4
Stanford x 1
UC Davis x 1

We look forward to seeing you!

We tentatively have enough Berkeley and Stanford teams for this tournament to happen, for sure, but we’d like some diversity in the field: please sign up (very) soon if you would like to play this tournament!

Berkeley A beat Stanford in a finals round that they entered with one less loss than Stanford to win the tournament. Stats can be found here.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the tournament! I hope you all had a great time.
