Collegiate Novice @ Louisiana Tech (10/6/18)

Louisiana Tech will be hosting a mirror of NAQT's Collegiate Novice set 177C on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 on our campus in Ruston, LA. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM in George T Madison Hall, with registration running from 8:30 AM to 8:55 AM. The tournament should be concluded by 5:00 PM at the latest. Matthew Given will be the tournament director.

Entry Fees/Discounts:

Base Fee: $15 per player
-$10 per fully functioning buzzer system
-$10 for teams travelling over 200 miles (one way)

Minimum fee for teams is $40

Please bring cash or make a check out to Louisiana Tech University Quiz Bowl Team. If your team expects to have financial difficulties, we're more than happy to work something out.

Eligibility:

As with last year's tournament, there are no official eligibility rules, but this tournament is meant to be played by novices and less experienced players. We ask that you not field any players who have significant experience with collegiate quiz bowl. As a baseline, we recommend not fielding any players who have scored 15 PPG or higher at a collegiate tournament. The tournament director reserves the right to deny any player permission to play based on skill.


Breakfast and lunch will not be provided, but there are many places to eat within a couple miles of the tournament site. There will be a lunch break during the tournament.
