Duke Quiz Bowl is pleased to host the Southeast (North) site of the 2019 ACF Regionals on January 26.
Registration:
Email [email protected] with your school, number of teams, and buzzer set information. In addition, fill out the official ACF registration form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... A/viewform).
Packet Submission:
Any team with at least one person on it who played a regular, collegiate, academic quizbowl tournament* (either as a college student or as a high school student) prior to September 1, 2017 is required to submit a half-packet. House teams from host schools, as well as teams composed of people who have not played regular, collegiate, academic quizbowl tournaments prior to September 1, 2017, are not required to submit a half-packet, but may choose to do so by the no penalty deadline for a -$50 discount. See the main thread (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21588) for more details.
Logistics:
The tournament will be held in the Carr Building on Duke University's East Campus (see below for parking information). Teams should plan to arrive by 8:30 am, and rounds will begin at 9 am.
Parking Information:
Please note that this tournament will take place on Duke’s East Campus. The Carr Building is directly off of the main bus loop for East Campus, so dropping teams off in front of this building and then parking should be very straightforward. As for parking options, the visitors lots at Smith Warehouse and the on-street parking and parking lots along Broad Street or 9th Street are likely the best and cheapest options, since parking on this campus is somewhat limited. Please note that the visitors lots on West Campus are quite far from East Campus, and won’t be the best option.
Please email [email protected] with any questions.
