I am excited to announce that UT Austin will be hosting ACF Regionals on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

Logistics:
Registration will begin at 8:00 am. The opening meeting will take place at 8:30 am, with matches beginning at 9:00 am. An email containing other confirmed logistics information (location, parking, lunch, etc.) will be sent directly to teams the week before the event.

Location:
This tournament will take place in Mezes Hall. The opening meeting will take place in Mezes Hall, room 1.202.

Fee Structure:
Base fee: $135 ($60 for shorthanded teams of 1 or 2 players)
Buzzer: -$5/functional system
Staffers: -$10/staffer
New to quizbowl discount: -$100

December 16th, 2018: No penalty
January 6th, 2019: +$25

After that, +$10 for each additional day that you're late.
After January 20th, you will be dropped from the tournament, with no exceptions.

"New to quizbowl" discount is intended for schools that did not send a team to any regular collegiate academic tournament (exclusively Novice tournaments do not count) since September 2017, and have no one on the team(s) claiming this discount who played those tournaments for another school.

Thanks to everyone that attended this tournament! Texas A ran the field to finish 10-0 and win the overall title without a final. Rice A was the undergraduate champion. Texas A&M B finished 2nd in undergraduate and won the division 2 title after a one game final with UNT. North Texas finished runner-up in D2. The top 5 individual scorers were: Jas Singh (Texas), Ethan Seal (North Texas), Ashwath Seetharaman (Texas), Ryan Humphrey (Texas), and Roberto Porras (A&M-B).
