NAQT SCT at Rice (2/9/19)

The Rice University Quiz Bowl Club is pleased to announce the Texas site of NAQT SCT, which will be held on February 9, 2019.

Location and time: The tournament will take place at Rice in the Humanities Building and Rayzor Hall. Check in will begin at 8:00, the opening meeting at 8:40, and the tournament at 9:00.

Fees: Entry will be $135 for the first team and $100 for each subsequent team from the same school.

Discounts: $10 discount per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)

$40 discount per experienced moderator

$20 discount (per team) for schools new to quizbowl (neither competed in nor hosted SCT in 2017 or 2018)

Payment will be taken at check in on the day of the tournament, as well as $8 for lunch from Jimmy Johns.

Thanks to Rice's club for hosting this tournament! This event was well-run and finished at a reasonable time in the evening, I hope Rice's club continues to host more tournaments.
