2019 PIANO at Stanford (3/9)

Post by Saltasassi »

Hello everyone,

Stanford will be mirroring PIANO, a nats-prep tournament, on March 9, 2019. For more information about the question set, check out the original announcement: http://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21685

This is an open tournament, so anyone is welcome to play. I've made a team formation spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Free agents are welcome to add themselves to the list, but send me an email if you would like to register ([email protected]) and I'll enter that into the spreadsheet myself.

The price structure is as follows:
Base fee: $120
Buzzer discount: -$5 per working buzzer system
Distance discount: -$10 per 200 miles traveled one-way
Approved moderator discount: -$15
Minimum fee per team: $40

We hope to see you there!

I have inquired about hosting a mirror of Guerrilla History. If it happens (which it most likely will), it will be after the conclusion of PIANO. We'll probably organize dinner for everyone involved.

The mirror fee is
- $0 for anyone who submitted a packet for the tournament
- $10 for anyone else

We're also looking for staff (both for PIANO and for this), so let me know if you're interested in helping with either!

Signup is the second sheet of the PIANO team formation sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =535780225

It's now just a few days before the tournament, and we a nice field size of 8, so I will be closing the field for now. Free agents are still welcome to sign up and join existing teams if spots are available.
