I was reading Jonah Greenthal's post in the timed NAQT discussion thread, when I remembered a question I have had for some time now. Is there a specific reason why ACF tournaments do not have powers? And should ACF eventually include powers in their questions?Jonah Greenthal wrote:NAQT also has powers, like many circuit tournaments but unlike ACF tournaments...

Re: ACF & Powers
There's a discussion of it in this thread (http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewto ... =30&t=5611) which seemed fairly comprehensive. I'm not a massive fan of powers, as whilst they're fun on the rare occasions I actually get them, they make me play much worse and thus lose more, which isn't fun.
