A great step forward.

Curious about one thing - what will the playoff format be now?

Is it still 20 automatic D-value qualifiers?

As someone playing DII this year, is there any shot that its field will be expanded as well?

We won't be expanding the field for the 2018 Division II ICT (we were only able to secure enough rooms to expand the total field by four teams, and prioritized Division I based on past community feedback about expansion).

Agreed, this is great to see. Hopefully the field is able to continue to expand to match the demand in future years. Between the D-value modifications and this field expansion, its nice that community feedback from the ICT bid debacle last year was ackowledged and acted on so quickly.

That's fair (and also what I figured but thought it would be safer to ask). Obviously, I will echo the above and say the field expansion is great news regardless.
