ACF has amended its constitution to change the process for selecting candidates for the Carper Award; these changes will be in effect starting with the 2019 Carper Award.
Mainly, the proposal transfers responsibility for conducting Carper Award votes from the Nationals head editor to a committee consisting of emeritus, full, and provisional members of ACF who have won the Carper Award. This committee can set reasonable voting procedures from year to year. Additionally, there can be multiple winners of the Carper Award, either when there is a tie for first place or by decision of the committee.
