TJHSST NAQT tournament

Post by Pistachio »

The Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Academic Team of Alexandria, Virginia, is pleased to announce its NAQT tournament to be held Saturday, October 2nd 2004. Every team is guaranteed five games. The preliminary rounds will be determined by swiss-pairing, and the playoffs will be double-elimination. There will be consolation matches to determine the top eight spots. This tournament generally attracts the best teams of the DC metro area, as well as other teams as far-flung as Michigan and New York. The field usually numbers around 64 teams.

The cost is $55 for the first team and $50 for each additional team with a $5 discount for each working buzzer system. More details will be posted soon; our tournament director is out of town until next week so I do not have all the information necessary to post answers to all questions.

To register or to have any questions answered, email Tournament Director Samuel Lederer (Jewtemplar) at thebestdictator at aol dot com.

Also please note that our host-written tournament will be held Saturday, January 15th 2005. Mark your calendars!

Thanks, and we hope to see you on the 2nd!
