Technophobia Reminder

Post by Yunalesca »

Hello,

Just a friendly reminder that the first discount deadline for Technophobia is coming up.

If you use the Jerome system (look at http://quizbowl.caltech.edu/T9.html for explanation), it's $1 off each question accepted before September 15.

Otherwise, it's -$30 if received before 12:00 AM September 15, 2004.

Please send packets/queries to [email protected].

Regards,

Irene Ying ([email protected])

Correction!

Please note the error -

Emails should be sent to quizbowl at caltech dot edu instead. I apologize for the error.

In light of my mistake, the deadline will be extended to September 17th.

Can you be more specific about the error? What link did you click on, and what URL where you on? Were you logged in or not? I just tested the "Submit" page yesterday, and didn't have any problems. This, of course, means nothing, but rules out obvious problems.

Were you on this page?

Sorry for the lack of specificity...

this was following the links given on the technophobia page to http://jerome.caltech.edu:8080/jerome/main.jsp , then clicking on the Technophobia project link to get to
http://jerome.caltech.edu:8080/jerome/s ... erv?pid=14 , which had the error.

The submit page you posted loaded just fine for me.

Hello,

The deadline for teams to ask to not submit a packet for Technophobia is
October 6 (as well as the last "early" deadline for Jerome and old-fashioned e-mail submission).

To the teams that plan on coming and haven't submitted a packet (the
deadline is Oct. 13, plus five dollars a day thereafter) - please, please
let us know where you are and if you're not going to finish up a whole
packet.

However, if you've sent stuff in via Jerome, you don't need to send any
updates; we can tell via the system. =)

Also, the webpage is here:

http://quizbowl.caltech.edu/T9.html

If you have questions, please visit that link, and feel free to email us (quizbowl AT caltech DOT edu) with any concerns/inquiries that you might have.

We hope to see you in November!
