New to NAQT

Postby librarylady » Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:35 pm

I would love to find out more information on whether anyone thinks that there will be more NAQT-style middle school tournaments available next year in KY or TN. I have never used this style of questions, but I really like them!

I saw that there was a tournament in Danville in February, but that conflicts with state Jr. Beta convention and our elementary division's district academic tournament where I'll have to officiate.

I'm updating this thread to announce that WKU will most likely be hosting some form of middle school tournament this fall. It may be a stand alone event or be paired with a JV High School tournament, depending on a few factors. We will have a full announcement up once we finalize our fall hosting schedule, which will hopefully be soon.

Chicagoland on St. Patrick's Day, 2012 would be LOVELY, no?

It's too early to make the formal announcement, but, assuming there's a CMST III set, we'll use that for the 9th Barrington Invitational Tournament on 3/17/12. The rules of it are similar to NAQT, but no powers, negs, or timed halves.

Is that the "official" date Mr. Price?? If so I'd love to put it on the calendar if I may bring 1-2 of my teams to compete!
