TERP-NOLA at Tulane (1/21)

Post by TulaneKQB »

Tulane is pleased to announce a mirror of Maryland's TERP to be held in New Orleans on January 21st.

TERP-NOLA will most likely be held in the Norman Mayer Building on Tulane's campus (the same building as Bayou-a-Drank) and begin at 9AM.

Unlike Bayou-a-Drank, this tournament will be open to anyone.

The base fee for TERP will be $80 with discounts as follows:
-$5 for a school bringing multiple teams
-$5 for working buzzers (max 1 per school)
-$5 per 200 miles traveled for each team of five or less
-$5 for competent moderator or scorekeeper (max 1 per school)
Minimum fee of $50 per team.

Tournament info.: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=12154

Projected Field:

Tulane (3-4 teams)
Kevin, et al.
LSU/Scott, et al.
Auburn/Jax State

Auburn is interested in attending both events, but depending on interest and funds, may attend only one or the other. There is also a chance we will not come at all. I will let you guys know in the upcoming weeks.

The BARGE mirrors have been moved to UGA and Texas so we won't be doing one this weekend. They're going to be on different weekends than the 21st, so teams can attend BARGE elsewhere and also attend TERP-NOLA on the 21st if they like. Also note that because we will no longer be hosting a BARGE mirror, TERP-NOLA has been moved from Sunday the 22nd to Saturday the 21st (1/21).

Does anybody(Chris or UGA people) have details about this UGA mirror? If there was one, I imagine that we would go, but I imagine that our attendance would partially be based on what the packet situation is for this mirror. I imagine I could get a packet together by the end of the week, but i'm curious what the penalty would be.

There won't be a packet requirement for UGA's mirror, which is tentatively scheduled for the 28th of January.

Congratulations to Bangers, Beans, Mash & Young (Tulane A) for winning this event, posting an 8-1 record and defeating Tulane C in the championship round. Thanks to Auburn/Jacksonville State and LSU for attending and to Maryland for putting the set together. Stats to be posted ASAP.

If anyone would like to discuss specifics of questions or give feedback, we'd love to have it, but please do it in the private forum-- you can request to join "TERP 2012 Discussion" if you played/moderated/staffed the set today and I can grant you access. Thanks!
