Collegiate Novice @ Louisiana Tech (10/14/17)

Louisiana Tech will be hosting a mirror of NAQT's Collegiate Novice set 168C on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 on our campus in Ruston, LA. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM in Davison Hall, with registration running from 8:30 AM to 8:55 AM. The tournament should be concluded by 5:00 PM at the latest. Jeb Houston, will be the tournament director.

Entry Fees / Discounts:

Base Fee: $15 per player
-$5 per fully functioning buzzer system
-$10 per 200 miles traveled (one way)
-$10 for a competent staffer with laptop
Minimum fee: $40 per team

Please bring cash or make a check out to Louisiana Tech University Quiz Bowl Team. If your team expects to have financial difficulties, please let us know. We're happy to work something out with you.

Eligibility Rules:

There are no official eligibility rules for this tournament, but keep in mind that this set is oriented towards introducing less experienced players and teams to college quiz bowl. We ask that teams use their best judgment in deciding which players would be considered "novice." If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask us. The tournament director reserves the right to deny any player permission to play, based on skill level.

Food:

Breakfast and lunch will not be provided, though there will be a lunch break. There are numerous eateries near the tournament site.
